Mirrors

for flute and piano (2006)

“Mirrors,” a single-movement work for flute and piano, was composed for flutist Jill Heyboer in 2007. Dr. Heyboer commissioned the work and premiered it with pianist Wei-Han Su in 2008 on the campus of Missouri State University. The title of the piece suggests the internal process of continual examination and re-examination of musical material that is necessary in the composition process.
